Our Weekend...

Our sky was on "fire" Thursday night... I had my counseling session to get ready for (why do I wait until the last moments to get my homework done???) and so Micah took the kiddos away for a bit so I could concentrate... as they were walking out the door I gasped when I saw these colors in the sky... Could it be any more brilliant and beautiful?  I love seeing the heavenly lights!
Our weekend was fun...
On the first Saturday of every month Home Depot hosts a kid workshop.  Micah took Ethan and together they build this house bank.  It is a pretty cool deal.  Home Depot provides everything ... even the apron... for free! We figure this is a pretty cool opportunity for kid dates!  Next month Micah will take Ethan --- when they finish I will bring Eden...
We figured Eden would be too little, but I think she could handle it and plus I think she felt a little bit left out since all Ethan has talked about (since) is his bank...  Although, Eden wasn't totally forgotten... I took Eden shopping and let her pick out a new toothbrush and some nail polish.  She picked purple... She got to push the cart and we bought some chocolate on the way out... Later we painted our toes.  You know the basic girl things... One funny thing was as we were leaving the house she asked where Ethan was.  I told her he was having guy time with Daddy and that she got to have girl time with me, she exclaimed, "Oh, Momma, that is a w e s o m e!"  It is fun having special times alone with each kiddo!  I am looking forward to my alone time with Ethan!
Since Ethan is really into his bank we figured it was time to talk about money and tithing.  We tried sending money with him to put in the offering plate at children's church, but he would always come home with MORE money than he took... not sure how that happened... so we chatted with him about money and giving to God... he got hysterical -- he didn't want to give any money away because he is saving for a rocket... when we explained the importance of storing up treasure in heaven and not on earth he threw himself on the floor and cried, "I want all my treasure here on EARTH!!!!  I don't want it in HEAVEN!"
We may have some theological issues on our hands... ;o)  He is a funny kid!
The Home Depot apron is useful for all sorts of things... Ethan thinks it is perfect for wearing all the time... even while making fresh orange juice!
We are starting a new week... we don't have internet at our house anymore... I am at the public library and it is closing in a few moments... so I might be away for long period in between posts... but I will keep taking pictures and trying to share when I get chances!

But before I sign off... I will share our afternoon adventure with our friends...
The weather has been beautiful lately... the warmth is unusual for this time of year, but it is Montana and it could be below freezing tomorrow... so when the sun shines... we get outside!
I really loved the golden weeds and the bright blue sky... I thought it was BEAUTIFUL!
The kids played on the frozen river and explored the weeds... Eden ate all things gross...
I wouldn't expect anything less!
My friend and I tried to catch up in between kids falling and crying... it was a lovely afternoon...
I am thankful we live in such a beautiful place.... the library is closing... gotta sign off...

You always make me smile!! I chuckled a bit at Ethan's quote about treasures because I say that to Joe on a weekly basis. We'll get there yet!
