Our New Nanny...

I never thought there would ever be a day that I would ever speak the words, "I have a nanny." Well today I said those words. Part of me hates admitting that - probably my pride (that I can't do everything), but mainly I hate it because it reminds me of the reality that I am a "working" mom. I have a full-time job on top of being a full-time mom. We love being here at MWSB and to stay here... I have to work. In all honesty... I wish I could step back from ministry for a few years and focus on my kids... but that is not an option. So this year the school hired a "nanny" for me. Her name is Paige and she is wonderful and she will watch the kids while I do my one-on-ones, my office work, and attend the staff meetings. I am so thankful that I will have help this year... last year was so overwhelming and I felt stretched in a million directions.

So... all that to say the class of 2010 has arrived and the year is in session.

Christa, I so understand your dillema. I am learning to rest in God's timing, as He gave us children knowing the constraints of our lives. So enjoy your nanny, remember that she will never be you, she won't think the same way you do, but God gently placed her there to help relieve your burden. With your loving oversight, your little ones will thrive in a "different" environment from what you had imagined.
